British Algae Specimen Cyanotypes
These magical images of ocean plant life were created in the 1840s by British botanist Anna Atkins using a new method of image making called cyanotype invented by Sir John Herschel in 1842.
Reproduced on Canson Arches paper and floated in an archival white gallery frame, each piece measures 16.375” x 20.375”.
