Chinese Flambé Ginger Jar

The ginger jar holds a very special place within Chinese ceramics and dates back to the QIN dynasty...BCE. The blue and white ginger jars that were used for exporting rare spices and oils originated in the MING dynasty. This is a modern version in a SONG dynasty style using a flambé glaze and a celadon underglaze. 12.5 inches by 8 inches.
