Zuni Thunderbird on Hand-Hewn Chain

The Zuni Tribe are known for their incredible lapidary work. With rare exception, Zuni silver jewelry will always have inlaid turquoise, mother of pearl, onyx, coral, and other richly hued minerals. 

This necklace features a Thunderbird pendant in sterling silver with inlaid onyx, mother of pearl, turquoise, and coral. The sterling silver chain is hand-hewn with long thin links and a hook closure. The 2.25” x 2” Thunderbird pendant has a brooch backing, to be worn with or without the 23” hand-hewn sterling chain.
