Repoussé Copper Architectural Lion
A large and remarkable lion bust architectural detail in repoussé copper with natural verdigris. The lion was used in Victorian and Edwardian architecture. This piece is significantly larger than other examples, and has been created using the repoussé method of pounding out the shape from underneath the sheet of copper.
This piece comes from a private Tuxedo Park, NY collection. It measures 32” H x 43” W x 17” D
