The writing of thank you notes is a practice that is often overlooked. Perhaps because a text is so much more immediate, or perhaps the right card has not been found. 
Whatever the case may be, the act of reflecting on what one has to be thankful for has it’s virtues. And being on the receiving end of a note of thanks is always very nice.
