Ancient Roman Black Glass Beaded Necklace
Twenty six Roman glass beads, circa 2nd to 4th centuries AD, in a black tube form, are interspersed with modern gemstones. Chalcedony, orange garnet, blue apatite, ruby, emerald, opal, sapphire, and black spinel are used as spacers between the ancient beads. The necklace measures 18” and is finished with a modern toggle clasp.
