Gallia by Édouard-Marcel Sandoz for Christofle
A suite of eight animal knife rests created by Édouard-Marcel Sandoz for Christofle Paris in 1930. The collection of art deco silver plate animals is called Gallia. Sandoz was a Swiss born artist who worked primarily in France, creating animal sculptures in cubist and art deco styles. These pieces are from the estate of a dealer in early 20th century decorative arts and date between 1930 and 1950.
