Jean Cocteau Astrologie Rug

This is a modern machine loomed rug of Jean Cocteau's artwork titled Astrologie, from 1958. The rug is 60 inches by 90 inches and show little to no wear. I suspect the color has faded a bit over time. It was likely used as a tapestry, and in fact, Cocteau did create a tapestry of this very image. The original drawing Astrologie, sold at Bonham's in 2022. This is a much larger and far more affordable version of Astrologie.
