Playskool Wooden Train Set Circa 1960
Everything about these wooden toys is wholesome and sweet. The simple shapes, made of wood, and painted in perfect bright colors. The yellow wheels and the funny spelling, rather mis-spelling of the brand name Playskool. I can imagine the group of Madison Avenue men and women smoking and drinking scotch discussing the clever brand that became such a touchstone in our childhoods. I gave the set a good bath in hot soapy water should your little conductor decide they look good enough to eat. Chew chew! All aboard!
